The “Chapman Champion” award is given to Butler students who make a “unique, above & beyond contribution to the campus or Indianapolis community.” I was nominated by Butler faculty in recognition of the healthy relationships & domestic violence prevention workshops that I facilitated to over 1,200 students.
From applicants across the country, I was selected and considered in the Top 10 for "an annual award honouring an undergraduate college student who is raising awareness of mental health issues on campus, reducing prejudice around mental illness, and encouraging help-seeking among their peers." Though I did not win this award, I am so proud to have been nominated and highly recommended by a mentor who I deeply respect.
